Responsible Payments, Built on Trust

At OKARDS, we believe that sustainable growth in payments depends on trust, transparency, and responsible business practices.

As a payment orchestration platform, we are committed to operating with integrity, respecting applicable laws and industry standards, and maintaining strong governance across our business. Our Compliance & Ethics framework helps us manage legal, regulatory, sanctions, security, and reputational risks while supporting a safe and reliable payment ecosystem for our clients and partners.

OKARDS provides technology that enables merchants to connect with acquiring and payment service providers. We do not act as an acquiring bank, settlement institution, or regulated payment processor. Our compliance controls are therefore designed to be proportionate to our role as a technology provider and focus on responsible onboarding, sanctions compliance, acceptable-use standards, information security, and ethical business conduct.

Our Policies

Code of Conduct

Our Code of Conduct sets out the standards of behaviour expected from all employees, officers, and contractors. It covers integrity, compliance with laws, conflicts of interest, gifts and hospitality, anti-bribery principles, protection of confidential information, and reporting concerns.

Counterparty Due Diligence Policy

Our Counterparty Due Diligence Policy describes how we assess prospective and existing counterparties using a risk-based approach. The policy focuses on sanctions screening, acceptable-use compliance, business legitimacy, and reputational risk management appropriate to our role as a payment orchestration provider.

Acceptable Use Policy

Our Acceptable Use Policy defines the business activities that may not be supported on the OKARDS platform and helps protect our clients, partners, and the wider payments ecosystem from illegal, harmful, or unacceptable activity.

Information Security

Protecting client, partner, and company information is a core responsibility. OKARDS maintains information security controls designed to safeguard systems, data, and services against unauthorised access, misuse, disruption, or loss.

Privacy & Data Protection

OKARDS is committed to protecting personal data and handling information responsibly. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to support compliance with applicable data protection laws and to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information entrusted to us.

Speaking Up

We encourage employees, contractors, clients, and business partners to raise concerns about suspected misconduct, unethical behaviour, legal violations, security incidents, or breaches of company policies. Reports made in good faith are treated appropriately and without retaliation.

Continuous Improvement

Compliance and ethics are ongoing commitments. We regularly review our policies, controls, and governance practices to ensure they remain effective, proportionate, and aligned with the evolving payments landscape.
