Okards is a SaaS orchestration platform – a centralized technical layer that connects merchants to multiple acquiring banks and payment service providers through a single integration.
No. Okards does not act as a processor, acquirer, or fund holder. It is a technology layer that simplifies connectivity between merchants and the providers who hold those roles.
No. Okards is a purely technical orchestration layer. Funds, settlement, and regulatory responsibility remain with the licensed acquiring banks and PSPs you connect to.
Okards is built for merchants and businesses that work with more than one acquiring bank or payment service provider – whether for redundancy, market expansion, or flexibility – and want to manage those connections through a single platform rather than separate integrations.
Merchants integrate with Okards once and gain access to multiple provider connections through that single integration, reducing the engineering effort typically required to add new payment partners.
Yes. Okards is built for merchant flexibility – you configure the mix of providers that fits your business, markets, and risk appetite.
a new payment partner later?
Adding a new acquiring bank or PSP is typically a configuration change within the platform, rather than a new integration project. This is one of the core benefits of a centralized orchestration layer.
Yes. Okards is accessed and managed as a SaaS platform, meaning there's no separate infrastructure for merchants to deploy or maintain in order to use it.
Okards' role is to orchestrate connectivity to the acquiring banks and PSPs you work with in each market. Market and currency support ultimately depends on the specific payment partners connected through the platform.
Okards uses a PCI DSS certified third-party tokenization provider to securely collect and tokenize payment card data before it reaches our platform. As a result, Okards processes only non-sensitive payment tokens together with the transaction information required to orchestrate payment requests – never raw card data.
OKARDS holds PCI DSS Level 1 Service Provider certification, the highest classification the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council establishes for organizations involved in payment processing.
Merchants maintain direct relationships with their chosen acquiring banks or payment service providers, who remain responsible for payment processing, settlement, and regulatory obligations. Okards' role is limited to the technical orchestration layer.
Okards is built on security-by-design principles, including tokenization to minimize data exposure, documented and predictable data flows, and a clearly scoped technical role that limits what the platform itself needs to hold or access.
Because processing, settlement, and compliance are handled by your acquiring banks and PSPs, most transaction-specific issues should be directed to the relevant partner. Okards' support team can help clarify routing or connectivity questions related to the platform itself.
No. Okards does not replace your acquiring banks or PSPs – it simplifies how you connect to them. You maintain your existing relationships and responsibilities with those partners.

Our blog covers topics like payment orchestration, tokenization, security by design, and how different roles in the payment chain work. Our glossary is also a good reference for payment terminology.
Yes. Working with complex verticals and demanding merchant environments is one of the areas where OKARDS has built genuine expertise. High-risk categories, multi-product setups, and intricate corporate structures are not edge cases for us – they are the environments we understand best and where the depth of our risk intelligence makes the most difference.
Specific eligibility for processing always depends on the acquiring banks and PSPs a merchant connects to, since those partners set their own risk appetite and compliance requirements. What OKARDS brings to that equation is the risk intelligence, the compliance groundwork, and in many cases the acquiring relationships that make those conversations easier to have and more likely to succeed.
Okards doesn't always have specific open roles listed, but we're regularly interested in hearing from people who care about payment infrastructure and security. See our Careers page for details.
